This is my self-assessment writing which talks about things I have learned and appreciated while taking this course.

A few examples of things I referenced from the self-assessment
- My view on Sh*tty First Drafts Response
This reading was fun to read because it was really interesting. In the past, I have had some problems because I was used to getting discouraged while writing/creating something. I indeed use to think professionals like great authors were one-and-done writers. This makes me think back on what Ms. Harrison said the other day about how Stephen King and how he publishes about 3 books per year. This is, even more, crazier now because I now know that there were so many drafts on each of those books. If it is possible that there are one and done without drafts, many stories we know and love wouldn’t be as interesting as they are now. Many ideas wouldn’t be included or even thought of without drafts. This reading also makes me think of all the possible professions that start off really bad in order to get to the finished product that is highly appreciated.
- My view of “Write till you drop”
“Write till you drop” is an interesting story because everybody can generally write but it’s important/better to write with passion and devotion as if you are “dying”. I personally had experiences like this on assignments of the past. There will be assignments I don’t want to write about and it makes the paper being less interesting but when a paper has a passion, the paper always comes out like a real writer, and that’s how many great writers write.
